Orum’s nine-seat minimum, and the floor everyone gets wrong

Orum publishes no prices — but it does publish a minimum, and it is three times the one every guide reports. Here is the whole record, sourced.

Publishes pricing No You cannot find out without booking a call.

Orum’s pricing page lists plan features and add-ons, then asks you to “Request pricing” or “Request a demo”. The one hard commercial term it does state is a minimum 9-seat commitment.

Orum is one of the best-known names in parallel dialing, and the most common question about it has no answer on Orum’s own site. The pricing page describes what you get and then asks for your email.

So the numbers below come from buyers, from procurement data and from third-party reviews. They do not all agree, and where they disagree this page says so rather than picking the one that flatters us.

What is on the record

Every figure below, with who reported it. Anything Orum states itself is tinted and marked; everything else is a third-party report.

01The seat minimum everyone reports is out of date

Practically every guide to Orum’s pricing still says three seats — and derives a neat $9,000-a-year floor from it. Orum’s own pricing page says minimum 9-seat.

First-party beats third-party, so nine is the number this page uses. It is worth sitting with what that implies about the rest of the category’s pricing content: the most-repeated fact about Orum’s commercial floor is contradicted by Orum’s own website, and it has been repeated anyway, because nobody rechecks a number that already ranks.

We had it wrong too. Our own Pharo vs. Orum comparison shipped with the three-seat figure and a floor calculated from it. It has been corrected, and this is what the “checked on” date at the foot of every one of these pages is for.

02The per-seat figures differ by about 2x

One thing to say for the price before taking it apart: Orum bundles up to ten caller IDs a month into the seat rather than metering them. In a category where phone numbers are commonly a separate line at $10–15 each per month — and where flagged numbers get burned and replaced rather than rehabilitated — ten included numbers is worth real money and is easy to miss when comparing headline seat prices.

Review sites converge on roughly $250 a seat for the entry plan. Vendr, which sees signed contracts rather than sales calls, puts Professional at $100–150 and Enterprise at $150–200+ per user per month.

Some of that is negotiation — Vendr reports buyers averaging double-digit savings off quotes. The rest is probably the same thing that makes Nooks hard to price: the seat is not the bill. Orum’s own pricing page lists AI Coaching and Webhooks as paid add-ons, with AI Coaching reported at $50–200 per user per month on top of the seat, so a coached rep and an uncoached one cost meaningfully different amounts under the same “per-seat price”.

The practical consequence is that no single per-seat figure for Orum is safe to quote, including any of these, and this page will not manufacture one by splitting the difference. The question worth asking on the call is the all-in monthly cost per rep with the add-ons you actually intend to switch on.

Questions buyers ask

How much does Orum cost?

Orum does not publish pricing. Third-party reviews in 2026 report around $250 per user per month for the entry plan and $500–800 for Ascend, while Vendr’s contract data puts per-seat pricing at $100–200 and the median Orum contract at $21,300 a year. Orum’s own pricing page states a nine-seat minimum and asks you to request a quote.

Does Orum have a free trial?

Orum does not advertise a free trial on its pricing page; it offers a demo. Pharo includes a seven-day free trial with 1,000 credits and no credit card.

What is Orum’s seat minimum?

Orum’s own pricing page states a minimum nine-seat commitment as of August 2026. Many third-party guides still report a three-seat minimum, which appears to be out of date.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Orum?

Pharo publishes $99 per user per month for a two-line parallel dialer and $179 for four lines, with no seat minimum and monthly billing. Whether it is cheaper for a given team depends on the seats and the enrichment volume, which is what the ROI calculator on the pricing page is for.

Where these numbers come from
