Pharo vs. Nooks: a dialer, or a platform you have to adopt

Speed to first dial, platform breadth, data cost and what you can actually find out about the price.

Nooks has expanded from a parallel dialer into an all-in-one sales platform: virtual salesfloors, AI roleplay, prospecting assistants. Those are real features and some teams genuinely want them.

They also have to be paid for and learned. This breakdown compares Pharo and Nooks on time to first dial, what is in the seat, how enrichment is billed, and how much you can find out about the price before you talk to someone.

Where Nooks falls short for a growing team

01You pay for the whole platform, not the part you use

Nooks bundles a virtual salesfloor, live coaching and AI roleplay into the product. For a remote team that wants a bullpen on all day, that is the reason to buy it — genuinely, and we would not try to talk them out of it.

For a team that wanted a dialer, it is surface area to learn and a seat price that carries features nobody opens. Pharo does one job: campaigns, connects, and clean write-back. Everything on the page is something a rep uses on a call.

02The price is a conversation

Nooks does not publish pricing; the pricing page asks you to request a quote. Reported figures land around $100–$150 a seat a month on annual deals, and Vendr puts the median contract at roughly $30,000 — but the range is wide precisely because there is no list price to compare against.

That is a defensible way to sell enterprise software and a real cost to a small team, who have to book a call to find out whether they can afford to book a call. Pharo’s price is $99 and $179, on the pricing page, with a seven-day trial in front of it.

03Every parallel dialer has to hear the greeting

This part is not a criticism of Nooks specifically, and it is worth being straight about: any parallel dialer using answering-machine detection must hear a prospect speak before it can decide the call is human. That is structural. Nobody removes it, including us.

What differs is where the wait happens. Pharo streams the far end while it is still being classified and bridges the rep on voice detection in under 200ms, so the pause is spent on our side of the bridge rather than in the prospect’s ear. The gap does not disappear; the silence the prospect hears does.

Common questions

How much does Nooks cost?

Nooks does not publish pricing; its pricing page asks you to request a quote. Reported figures land around $100 to $150 a seat a month on annual deals, and Vendr puts the median contract at roughly $30,000 across 55 purchases. The range is wide precisely because there is no list price.

Is Nooks worth the money?

If what you want is the virtual salesfloor, quite possibly. Always-on video, live whisper coaching and AI roleplay are how a manager gets six new SDRs to competence without sitting beside each of them, and no dialer with a better bridge latency helps with that at all.

Do all parallel dialers have an audio delay?

Yes, structurally. Any parallel dialer using answering-machine detection must hear a prospect speak before it can decide the call is human, and nobody removes that, Pharo included. What differs is where the wait happens: Pharo bridges the rep on voice detection in under 200ms, so the silence sits on our side.

What is the difference between Nooks and Pharo?

Nooks is a sales-floor platform that contains a dialer: virtual salesfloor, AI roleplay, prospecting assistants. Pharo, the AI parallel dialer, does one job — campaigns, connects and clean CRM write-back — at $99 or $179 a seat published on the page, with enrichment at vendor API cost.

How long before a team makes its first dial?

Nooks runs guided onboarding with workflow configuration and field mapping, plus training reps across several modes of the product. Pharo takes a domain and a one-click CRM connection, reads your schema, extracts your ICP and builds the target list, with a campaign live in under five minutes.
