An enrichment credit is the unit a data provider bills in — typically one credit per record or per field looked up. The consequential detail is whether a credit is consumed on a miss, because that determines what your real cost per usable record is.
Two credit models dominate and they produce very different bills. Charge-per-lookup means you pay for failures, and on a hard list most lookups fail. Charge-per-hit means you pay only for data you can use. Salesfinity, for example, publishes enrichment from $0.30 per valid phone number, which is the second model stated plainly.
Credits also expire, roll over or do neither depending on the vendor, and monthly allowances that do not roll over convert unused capacity into revenue. Where a dialer bundles credits with seats, ask what happens to the unused ones.
