A SIP trunk is the connection that carries voice calls between a dialer and the public telephone network over the internet. Dedicated trunking means a team’s traffic is not sharing infrastructure — and therefore not sharing reputation — with other customers.
Most dialers route calls over shared carrier infrastructure, which is invisible until it is not: reputation and rate limits can be affected by traffic that is not yours. Dedicated trunks are typically an enterprise option and are sold on exactly that isolation.
The relevant question for a buyer is less "do you offer SIP trunking" than "whose traffic shares my path, and what happens to my calls when their traffic misbehaves".
Trunking also determines call quality in ways a buyer feels before they can name: jitter, packet loss and the routing path all affect whether a connected call sounds like a phone call or like a bad video meeting. On a cold call that matters more than usual, because the prospect has no investment in staying on a line that sounds poor.
